The main theme of this piece came from an improvisation by Lee McClure (flute) and James P. Nelson (guitar) in the 1970's. The many evolutions of the theme include pieces for flute and piano (1985); chorus and piano (1988); brass quintet (1992); electric flute and cello (1995); ballet for five dancers, electric flute & Latin percussion (2007).
